Size:
about 1000
words. It can be 6-7 printed pages with pictures downloaded from the Internet.
The pictures shouldn't be too big! The front page (with the name of the
school, your name, your teacher's name and the school year), the table of
contents and the bibliography are compulsory!
Bibliography.
Give the list of the sites and books
you have used.
If you use books, write the name of the
author, the year and the title of the book.
e.g. Bauer Yehuda, 1998, “Address to
Bundestag"
Never copy the material from the same
source. If you do, you will get a zero!
Use as many sources, as possible. If you and someone else write
identical papers, both of you will get a zero!
Oral presentation.
You will have to tell about your work
in front of the examiner from the Ministry of Education. Only in English! If
you speak Hebrew, your grade will be lowered.
What to write and how to write.
You can write about World War II and
European countries, such as Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, etc., where the
Jewish suffered from pogroms, lived in ghettos and a great deal of them was
killed in the concentration camps. If you have been to Poland write about your
experience.
Here are some detailed questions. You
can answer them, so that the project won’t be too difficult for you.

Have you ever been to Poland? If not, are you going to visit it one day?

2. Brief history of the Holocaust (2-3
pages)
a) beginning of World War II

pogroms, ghettos and concentration camps in Europe
d)
if you have been to Poland, write
what you saw in Treblinka, Auschwitz and other sites .
3. Holocaust Memorials today (1-2 pages)
a) books (e.g. "Anna Frank's
Diary")
b) films (e.g. "Schindler's
list")
c) Yad Vashem Museum in Jerusalem
d) Holocaust memorial day
e) you can mention some famous people
that died in the Holocaust, e.g. Yanusch Korchak.
4. Conclusion (1 page)
a) Do you think that each Jew should
visit Poland at least once in his/her lifetime? Why? Why not?
b) Should the trips to Poland be a part
of the educational program in Israel? Why? Why not?
